Community Involvement MAJOR COMMUNITY SERVICE ORGANIZATIONS THAT ROE MOTORS SUPPORTS BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB The Boys and Girls Clubs of the Rogue Valley is the “The Positive Place for Kids.” They provide year-round positive, fun and safe places and programs for all kids. Their mission is to help them build self-esteem and develop skills necessary to make the right choices to become responsible and productive citizens. They began in 1970 and the dues for each child are only $40 per year. The cost to support each child averages over $500 per member. They support over 6,000 youth each year. There are different fund-raisers each year and Roe Motors is proud to be an annual sponsor. We support programs that build leadership development in the kids. Their website is www.bgcrv.com.
WILDLIFE IMAGES Wildlife Images was started in 1981 by J. David Siddon. The facility was created in order to provide for the care and treatment of sick, injured and orphaned wildlife. Wildlife Images has since expanded to provide educational programs on wildlife, conservation and the environment to schools, organizations and the general public. The Center, and its programs and activities are a direct outgrowth and continuation of the late Founder J. David Siddon’s personal involvement with wildlife rehabilitation and education for more than 40 years. The center currently operates under the direction of David Siddon Jr., who continues on with his father's mission. One of their earliest projects was “Happy.” Happy was a Red Tailed Hawk from Wildlife Images and was used in many Buick commercials and advertising. We are proud to be an annual sponsor for Wildlife Images to help the wildlife in our area and help educate people. They offer daily tours and more information is available at www.wildlifeimages.org.
